Sha’ar HaBitachon - Episode Eighty-Five , ~ ! To have Perfect Trust in Hashem is to know that all success comes entirely from G-d. Yet, we must nonetheless make every reasonable effort to [seemingly] achieve it. Rabbeinu Bachaya has already addressed the idea of pursuing a livelihood in business terms "as fulfilling obligations as an honest, loyal partner." Now he will focus on the pursuit of boosting wellness and medicinal healing. Here too, he will demonstrate that Trust in Hashem is fully compatible with the efforts we are expected to make towards facilitating wellness. There is no paradox in having full Bitachon and expending all possible efforts in preserving our health. Drawing on a range of classic and contemporary Torah-true sources we will learn how utilizing available medicines, therapy or treatments doesn't contradict Faith in the least. This despite the firm conviction that healing comes from Hashem alone! Furthermore, this presentation will illustrate how having Bitachon enables the medical assistance, as getting help from medical professionals is most appropriate, although relying on them isn’t.
