TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES

Sha’ar HaBitachon - Episode 108 , - ~ ! In the previous Episodes we learnt that employing Bitachon to rely on Hashem to choose Mitzvah observance on our behalf is entirely wrongheaded. It would be a colossal misappropriation of Trust to shift responsibility to G-d, when has in effect made us responsible to find the inner resolve and appropriately follow that up by choosing to serve Hashem. This attempt to replace Bechira (free choice) with Bitachon (trust) is in effect foolish and illogical when He has given that very responsibility to us. In view of this Torah Truism, we now explore another Truth: the idea of Consequences, e. g. the promised Reward and Punishment for loyalty or disloyalty towards Hashem. Addressing both concepts of Reward and Retribution for our Righteousness or Rebellion, Rabbainu Bachaya clarifies our responsibilities to G-d, and the results we engender.
