Sha’ar HaBitachon - Episode Forty-Four , # ~ ! Following his systematic presentation of the seven categories of qualities necessary to place unfailing Trust in a powerful provider, Rabbeinu Bachaya lucidly demonstrated how the first can only be found in G-d. He now continues to spell things out in ever increasing certainty gently enabling us to appreciate why he concludes that Hashem is only Provider we should place our full confidence in. In this episode we focus on the final (previously enumerated) requisite qualities, Consistency, Absolute Control and unfailing Generosity and Kindness. The verses quoted will be demonstrably clear in indicating that only G-d can Possess all the qualities that true Trust demands. Bottom line: Absolute reliance on a provider, an essential quality to engender real Trust means the provider must always be available when we need. Can anybody else always be there for us?
